Explorer Charts for Bahamas now available in the i-Boating app

 We are pleased to announce that Explorer Charts™ for Bahamas are available in the i-Boating application.  Whether you sail in Far Bahamas, Exumas or Near Bahamas, you now have access to reliable Explorer Charts™ right from within the i-Boating app.

Its available as part of two folios:

• Bahamas
• Bahamas & Caribbean 

Bahamas charts are available in all platforms where i-Boating is supported including Android, iOS, Windows and MacOS.

Public lands/Parcel maps overlay for i-Boating Windows and MacOS

i-Boating app for Windows and MacOS was updated recently to add support for overlaying public land/parcel maps with ownership information for US.

The update is available for i-Boating Windows and MacOS versions available directly from our website.  Please make sure to update to the latest version for these.

Public Private ownership maps overlay in the i-Boating app

 We are pleased to announce a major update to the i-Boating app. We have added support for viewing public private ownership in the i-Boating app for US users. This makes it easy to figure out ownership info for land providing access to the shoreline.  You can even see who owns which section of the lake.

This major functionality is available to all our customers at no additional cost.

United States Parcel Data

The i-Hunting app includes USA wide parcel maps, covering more than 99.9% of the country.  Now the same data is available for use in your own apps. Be it a surveying app,  a custom mapping app, an outdoors app, having  property line maps with ownership info, would be a great improvement for your customers.

Vexilar Sonarphone split screen mode on Android.

Vexilar Sonarphone is also fully supported on Android devices. Upon connection with sonarphone, you should see a split screen with sonar in one half and the GPS map in the other. Sonar logging is automatically turned on.

Highlight Fishing Depth Range in i-Boating

 The latest update for i-Boating includes an option to highlight a specific depth range you wish to target. When you set the target fishing depth range, the application highlights the depths in that range, helping improve your efficiency on finding new productive water.

The feature is available on all platform where i-Boating is supported - iOS, Android, Windows and MacOS. Included below are a few screenshots showing this in action.

Hi-Res Relief Shading Scans.

 Our cartography team works behind the scenes to continuously update the quality of data that our charts show.  One of the latest enhancements from this endeavor is the improvement in the quality of relief shading scans.

In some cases, one can actually eyeball the wreck in the relief shading. I've included below a few screenshots from the latest version.

The update that was released last night included a large update for down under. The i-Boating application now includes detailed relief shading for Australian coast.  It's available immediately on all platforms including iOS, Android, Windows and MacOS.
